NETiP digital audio and video alarm panels integrate with Sentinel Plus alarm monitoring software
NETiP is fully compliant with BS8418 for greater resilience and protection against unexpected mains power failure or disruption. It provides enhanced monitoring of battery condition and sends alerts to the central monitoring station if power levels drop below eleven volts.
VDT has also provided increased protection against tampering with the addition of eight end-of-line resistance alarm inputs making it one of the first manufacturers of video alarm panels to come into line with standard alarm technology. NETiP also features optional alarm backup over PSTN.
Available in four or eight channel versions, NETiP can be rackmounted in standard 19” cabinets for easy installation. Built-in Ethernet connections enable analogue audio and video signals to be digitised and transmitted in real-time over LAN/WAN networks or via standard broadband without requiring a PC at the monitored premises.
High quality video images are compressed, encoded and stored on flash memory for immediate, easy access to recorded events and event logs. NETiP also features internal high-speed high-quality pre and post-alarm image capture and can digitally store up to 100 still images.
NETiP is compatible with all brands of dome cameras and offers selectable recording and transmission image/video size, PTZ support, programmable alarm inputs and control outputs. VDT also provides a Video Integration Kit that enables full functional integration of digital CCTV into other brands of Alarm Receive and Management Software currently in use by monitoring stations.
Clive Mason, Managing Director of VDT, commented that: “NETiP provides a complete video and audio record of every intrusion activation event, adds unrivalled levels of functionality to monitoring stations and is infinitely scaleable to meet the requirements of the largest applications. It has already been deployed by two of Europe’s best known retail companies in stores across the UK.”
