Sony launches four analogue mini-domes and two IP mini-domes
Each of the new cameras is equipped with a highly sensitive imager to ensure clear and detailed images can be captured across a wide range of environmental and light conditions to enable easy installation. These devices also incorporate the Sony-patented Ball-Joint Lens Mount mechanism which lets the user rotate the 3.6x zoom and auto-iris vari-focal lens in any direction.
The SSC-CD77P is an advanced vandal-resistant analogue mini-dome camera with features such as a 1/3-type CCD imager with SuperExwave™ technology, a high horizontal resolution of 540 TV lines, Backlight Compensation and Auto Tracing White Balance (ATW)/ATW Pro. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, its design saves time and effort at installation, and gives true location flexibility.
The SSC-CD75P advanced vandal-resistant analogue mini-dome camera also delivers superior security and surveillance monitoring with features such as a 1/3-type Super HAD™ CCD, a high horizontal resolution of 540 TV lines, Advanced Backlight Compensation and Auto Tracing White Balance (ATW)/ATW Pro.
The SSC-CD49P is a compact and discreet analogue mini-dome camera and features a 1/3-type CCD with DynaView technology – which dramatically improves the camera’s dynamic range by 128 times when compared to conventional cameras – and Auto Tracing White Balance (ATW)/ATW Pro. Designed for indoor use, its design saves time and effort at installation, and gives true location flexibility.
The SSC-CD45P is also a compact and discreet analogue mini-dome camera but features a 1/3-type Super HAD™ CCD, a high horizontal resolution of 540 TV lines, Advanced Backlight Compensation and Auto Tracing White Balance (ATW)/ATW Pro.
Sony has also announced the expansion of its intelligent range of monitoring cameras with the introduction of two new IP mini-dome cameras. The SNC-DF50P and SNC-DF80P IP cameras have each been designed to deliver more effective day and night security and surveillance monitoring thanks to their efficient and intelligent processing method called intelligent video analysis.
Following the launch of Sony’s Distributed Enhanced Processing Architecture (DEPA) platform last year, the SNC-DF50P and SNC-DF80P network mini-dome cameras feature built-in intelligent camera functions, such as Intelligent Motion Detection (IMD) and Intelligent Object Detection (IOD), which can determine what images should be recorded or when an alarm should be triggered.
With in-camera processing, DEPA reduces network traffic, bandwidth requirements and storage requirements for IT managers. The cameras also incorporate dynamic-frame integration to optimize the resolution for both stationary and moving subjects simultaneously.
In addition to this intelligence, the SNC-DF50P delivers an improvement in dynamic range (128 times that of a conventional camera) thanks to Sony-unique DynaView™ technology. This makes the camera ideal in extremely high-contrast, indoor environments, such as reception areas.
Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, the SNC-DF80 is a powerful, vandal-resistant network camera which delivers superior security and surveillance monitoring with high sensitivity levels and clear images – thanks to 1/3-type CCD SuperExwave™ technology – and dependable 24/7 operation – with a Day/Night function and vandal-resistant features .
These new multi-codec cameras offer the operational convenience of three compression formats: JPEG, MPEG-4 and H.264. Furthermore, both cameras can generate JPEG and MPEG-4 images simultaneously. These cameras also incorporate the Sony-patented Ball-Joint Lens Mount mechanism which lets the user rotate the 3.6x zoom and auto-iris vari-focal lens in any direction.
This launch coincides with the expansion of Sony’s ISV (Independent Software Vendor) Programme, which enables the integration of the Sony high-performance IP-cameras with software vendors’ solutions.
“Sony’s ISV programme is creating further choice than ever before for a growing variety of security and surveillance installations. By expanding our range of analogue cameras Sony is reinforcing its commitment to satisfy the diverse needs of the industry,” said Simon Nash, European Product Manager of Sony Network Video Monitoring.
