Conway Security Products launches Conway Security Products has launched the CM180 vandal-resistant camera

22 February 2010
Conway Security Products has launched the CM180 vandal-resistant camera aimed at a broad range of applications in the private and public sectors. Featuring a three-part design, the CM180 is simple to install, a vital consideration in the key markets Conway has identified.

At the heart of the CM180 is a high-resolution day/night camera designed to cope with varying light conditions. A choice of either 2.3mm or 3.5mm lens ensures the unit delivers an optimised view regardless of the application.

One of the core applications that Conway’s customers have already identified is elevators, a niche market which has never had a definitive product addressing all the challenges of this difficult environment. The product can be fitted quickly, ensuring lifts are out of action for the minimum period.

Set-up can be performed in situ and the camera-lens combination ensures 100% coverage of the elevator. Simple features like an aperture to allow use of a local monitor during configuration make installation easier for the engineer. Streamlined installation and less downtime mean reduced cost of ownership for the end-user, an attraction in budget-conscious markets.

The CM180 is manufactured from a combination of steel and Acetal, giving it both strength and longevity for demanding environments. Features such as an easily-replaced Lexan screen and security screws protect the camera from attack.

Available in standard white or a brushed stainless steel finish, the CM180 is available now from Conway Security Products.
